The Chapter’s Annual Meeting 2016

The AIANY Annual Meeting is a chance for members to come together and take care of business, voting on proposed bylaw amendments and confirming the following year’s leadership. The meeting also celebrates the progress and direction of the Chapter. VIA 57WEST by BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, received the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s Best Tall Buildings America Award…The Met Breuer, originally designed by Marcel Breuer and restored by Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners, and the United Nations Headquarters’ façade restoration by Heintges & Associates were recipients of DOCOMOMO US Modernism in America awards…The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, in association with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, named the 2016 Green Good Design Awards winners, which included NYC-based BanG studio for the Billion Oyster Pavilion; Rogers Partners for Henderson-Hopkins School; and Robert A.M. Stern Architects for Tour Carpe Diem…WXY architecture + urban design was honored with the Battery Medal for Design Excellence at The Battery Conservancy’s annual gala. Join us at the AIANY Annual Meeting!

Please join us Tuesday, 06.21.16 at 6:00 PM as we elect our 2017 leadership, honor those who contribute to NYC’s built environment, and celebrate the progress and direction of AIANY. From public advocacy to professional training, design awards to global dialogues, the Annual Meeting will highlight the challenges and successes from the past year. We will also share our goals for the remainder of 2016 and beyond.

Remember that independent nominations may be submitted to the Secretary via the chapter (info@aiany.org) in accordance with Chapter Bylaws. If an independent slate is submitted, a ballot election will be held at the Annual Meeting. If there is no independent slate, the Secretary is empowered to vote a single ballot for the Nominating Committee slate as presented.
